Doctor Films 1,000 Victims On Toilet, Including Nurses, Patients And Children.

A peeping Tom doctor who admitted spying on more than 1,000 people in toilets, will be sentenced to a significant term in prison.

Dr Lam Hoe Yeoh, 62, carried out ‘a planned and long-running campaign of voyeurism, the like of which goes beyond anything encountered by the Metropolitan Police’, a court heard.

He had a complex network of hidden cameras situated in hospital and train toilets, as well as his own home. His victims included nurses, patients and children.

Prosecutor Peter Clement told Croydon crown court: ‘It was voyeurism targeting friends, colleagues, patients, children, male and female.

‘The voyeurism included footage filmed at his home of friends invited for social events. He grossly abused the high degree of trust placed in him as a consultant physician as well as a friend and colleague.’

In all the cases presented the victim’s genitals were filmed and the footage was then stored in labelled files on hard-drives at his home and his NHS computer.

The hearing specialist was caught after two women discovered a camera had been stuck to a toilet in St Anthony’s Hospital in south London.

As well as footage of themselves, they discovered Yeoh had accidentally filmed himself setting it up.

Other filming devices were also found at hospitals in Sutton, Thames Ditton and Nottingham.

Yeoh, of Banstead, Surrey, yesterday admitted seven counts of voyeurism, six of making indecent images of a child and one of possessing extreme pornography between January 2011 and April 2014. He has asked to be struck off the medical register.

His wife Ivy, 57, had one charge of voyeurism dropped.
