SENATOR ABDULLAHI ADAMU BAD-MOUTHS FORMER PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO FOR CRITICIZING PRESIDENT BUHARI'S REGIME...

Senator Abdullahi Adamu representing Nasarawa West senatorial district, yesterday threw insults at former President Olusegun Obasanjo for discrediting the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, said Obasanjo lacks moral standing to counsel Buhari against seeking a second term in office after he (Obasanjo) had sought for a third term in office.

He said if the anti-corruption war of President Buhari were to be total and blanket in nature, corrupt-minded Nigerians like Obasanjo ought to be in jail by now.

Senator Adamu who is the chairman of the Northern Senators Group stated this in Abuja yesterday at a press briefing in reaction to the recent special statement issued by Obasanjo on Buhari’s performance in governance.

He agreed with the former president’s submission that the anti-corruption war as presently being prosecuted is selective, the benefit of which, according to him, Obasanjo is enjoying going by his multiple corrupt practices while in government from 1999 to 2007.

The lawmaker said, “Chief Obasanjo said that President Buhari is selective in his anti-corruption war. I agree with him because if the President were not selective, Chief Obasanjo himself would be in the dock today on trial on charges of corruption arising from the corrupt practices in the pursuit of his third term gambit in the National Assembly in 2006.

“He (Obasanjo) knows as well as I and other leading members of the PDP that he badly wanted it and initiated the process of constitutional amendment. He bribed each member of the National Assembly who signed to support the amendment, with the whopping sum of N50million.

“The fresh mint money was taken in its original boxes presumably from the vaults of the Central Bank of Nigeria and distributed among the legislators. The money was not his, and it was not appropriated by the national assembly as required by law. I therefore, agree that in failing to make former President Obasanjo account for the money, President Buhari is waging his anti -corruption war selectively.

“Nor should we forget that President Buhari has also not bothered to interrogate Obasanjo’s role in the Halliburton scandal for which some Americans are cooling their heels in jail. Perhaps President Buhari might wish to look in the Siemens affairs in which the Obasanjo administration was indicted”.

Adamu also punctured Obasanjo’s low marks for Buhari’s government on economy and security, declaring that Buhari inherited most of the problems afflicting the Nation from the two areas.

He continued: “Every administration grapples with problems thrown at it by circumstances beyond its control. President Buhari inherited an economy that was unsteady on its feet.

“He also inherited the security problems such as Boko Haram, armed robberies and kidnappings. Yes, I agree, that under his watch these problems should grow less, not more. But the solution to problems such as these is a slow and agonising process since he has no powers to simply make them disappear overnight”.

He criticized Obasanjo further, alleging that his eight years in government almost ruined the hard earned democratic governance in Nigeria as a result of self-delusion and messianic mentality.

The Senator continued:  “He (Obasanjo) waged his anti-corruption in a manner intended to rubbish all our reserved institutions such as the courts and the national assembly in a way to be the only Nigerian without palm oil on his hands.

“The courts quaked over his unconstitutional rampapage . Chief Obasanjo left our democracy in a lurch. He was like a wrecking ball. In 2007, he alone, decided his successor in office contrary to the rules of the game, the repercussions and consequences of which are now history“.

He further declared that the coalition Obasanjo advocated for in his statement would not fly, as it is an unscrupulous political activity, just as he warned that if the former Nigerian leader doesn’t desist from his behavioural pattern, he will end up being a national nuisance and irrelevant figure.

VICAR CAUGHT ON CAMERA ‘WATCHING PORN, SNIFFING COCAINE, AND USING A CRACK PIPE'....

A Church of England vicar has allegedly been caught on camera appearing to smoke crack, snort cocaine and watch porn. The Reverend Stennett Kirby, 64, was filmed in the £1.5 million vicarage of West Ham Parish Church in East London, which he lives in.

He has been the vicar of the church since 2007, and is considered a respected member of the community, but is currently on sick leave for unknown reasons.

In the shocking footage obtained by the Sun on Sunday, he appears to be smoking from a crack pipe before he struggles to snort a line of white powder as he relaxes with a friend.

At one point, he seems to be watching pornography and says: ‘All I want now is for a woman to be sucking my dick that would be nice.

‘How much would a woman cost to come here? In other words if I really want it then I will pay for it.’

His friend reportedly then says he prefers prostitutes to relationships, which unmarried Mr Kirby, who is currently on sick leave from work, agrees to.

The footage then seems to show him talking about his plans to go into Central London and buy more drugs. He says: ‘I’m going to Soho with my mate for dinner. ‘I’m going to sex shops to get some poppers.’

Rev Stephen Chandler, an associate minister at the church, spoke to the congregation this morning in light of the video being released. He said: ‘By now many of you may have heard of an article which has appeared online today concerning your vicar, the Revd Stennett Kirby,’ reports MailOnline.

‘I am trying to support Stennett pastorally at this demanding time for him and he is very much in my prayers and Bishop Stephen’s [of Chelmsford], as are you all here at All Saints.

‘The article contains serious allegations with regard to drug taking and other matters of an ethical nature.’

The Church of England has said it is investigating the claims and said it was taking the matter seriously.

See photos: WOMAN SHARES ABUSE SHE SUFFERED AT HANDS OF HER GRANDAD WHO STARVED HER...

A woman in Japan who suffered domestic abuse at the hands of her grandfather has taken the brave step of releasing pictures of herself.

The Japanese woman, who only identified herself as ‘Wild Cabbage’ on Twitter said she lived with her grandfather 10 years ago and he repeatedly starved her.

The woman from Kyoto in Central Japan’s Kansai region claimed in a tweet that she was ‘forbidden to eat’ by her abusive grandparent, who would ‘kick me in the belly’ when she was caught eating in secret.

She would then either spit or vomit out the food, reports said, causing her to shed so much weight that she ended up weighing just 37lbs.

Selfies taken in front of a mirror in her home a decade ago show just two of the woman’s incredible photos from when she was just skin and bone.

In her social media post, she urged those suffering from similar abuse or eating disorders not to wait, saying they should ‘ask for help before it’s too late’. When she was eventually rescued, experts told her she was ’10 minutes away from death’, she added.

Thankfully, 10 years later and now in her 20s, she says she has now recovered. She did not say what happened to her grandfather or whether any other relatives were around to help at the time.

MORGUE WORKER SACKED FOR HAVING SEX WITH CORPSE OF MURDERED BIG BROTHER STAR...

A morgue worker has been sacked after it was discovered that he had performed necrophilia on the corpse of a murdered reality TV star. Oksana Aplekaeva was murdered in 2008 and her killer has never been found, but police in Russia received new information.

They exhumed her body and carried out new and more detailed forensic tests on her body. Those tests revealed that she had been sexually violated after her death and DNA led investigators to point the finger at a morgue technician identified only as Alexander, 37.

Speaking after he was sacked, he said: ‘I could not argue against science. I have not been able to find a job for three months.’

He said that his wife has now left him and changed her phone number so she can’t contact him. Aplekaeva was the star of Russia’s top reality show Dom-2 and her was found by a lorry driver on the side of a motorway.

He also claims that his wife left him and changed her phone number. There is no evidence to suggest that he interfered with other corpses during the 12 years that he worked at the morgue. Russian media report that Alexander cannot be punished for his deed, as there is no law in Russian legislation that deals with such incidents.

Police underline that Alexander did not have anything to do with Aplekaeva’s murder. The still-unidentified killer is believed to have thrown Miss Aplekaeva out of a moving car and then returned to the scene, an undisclosed location in Russia, to cover up the body.

Incest News: GIRL, 11, ‘GIVES BIRTH TO 14-YEAR-OLD BROTHER'S BABY’...

Police investigating the birth of a baby born to an 11-year-old girl believe her 14-year-old brother is the dad. The young girl, a Bolivian immigrant, gave birth to a boy at a hospital in Murcia, south east Spain, last Friday.

Officers were later called in to probe the identity of the dad. An investigation resulted in the family stating the child’s older sibling is the father.

Sources close to the case said the brother was 13 when his sister fell pregnant. He will not face any criminal proceedings under Spanish law as he is below the age of criminal responsibility. DNA tests will now take place to confirm the family’s claims about who the baby’s dad is.

Regional Health authority boss Manuel Villegas described the case as ‘absolutely exceptional’. He added: ‘We have to wait now.

'An investigation is still ongoing and when everything has been clarified, we’ll see what has happened and if we can help in some way.’

Local reports said there was no evidence to suggest the two siblings had not had consensual sex. Both mum and baby are said to be ‘doing well’.
