Jude Okoye Now A Proud Father

Still mourning the shocking passing away of their late father, Engineer Jude Okoye, the elder brother of P-Square musical duo and his pretty wife, Ify just had a cause to rejoice.

The two lovebirds who got married in July welcomed an adorable baby girl a few hours ago in the United States of America.

Ify gave birth at 7.29pm on Saturday at Northside Hospital Atlanta, Georgia.
The little angel has been named Princess Emma Adanna Okoye

The new father excitedly shared a photo of the baby girl with the caption “As we mourn the passing of our Dad, please help us thank the Lord for His newest gift of life, our bundle of joy Princess Emma. All glory to God the father," he wrote.

Elizabeth Lauten To Sasha And Malia Obama: Try Showing A Little Class!!!

Elizabeth Lauten, an aide to a Tennessee Congressman, is under fire for posting a Facebook rant calling out the daughters of U.S. President Barack Obama.

Following the POTUS' annual pardoning of a Thanksgiving turkey - a silly but harmless White House tradition - Lauten tore into his two teenage girls.

Sasha and Malia Obama were apparently not as transfixed by the pardon ceremony as this Congressional aide would have appreciated, thankyouvermuch.

Lauten, obviously, took to Facebook to lecture the pair:

"Dear Sasha and Malia, I get your both in those awful teen years but you're a part of the First Family. Try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play."

"Then again, your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department."

"Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot in a bar."

Yeah. Possibly a bit over the line at the end there.

The communications director for Rep. Steven Fincher (R) and one-time media manager for the Republican National Committee soon felt the backlash.

After being called "mean," "thoughtless," "ignorant," and many more things not suitable for print on a family celebrity gossip website, Lauten apologized.

"After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online," she said she wished she had not make the controversial comments.

"I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were," an apologetic Lauten said. "Please know, those judgmental feelings truly have no place in my heart."

The original post has either been deleted or made private.

All in all, it's just further proof that partisan bitterness can't even take Thanksgiving off. Can't we all just get along? Or at least rant against something universally reviled?

Stephen Keshi To Earn N84m Annually

Stephen Keshi will reportedly sign a new deal with the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) and will now be earning seven million Naira per month.

The deal is expected to be a 12-month contract that will elapse at the end of 2015.

Keshi’s last contract with the NFF which ended after the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament was at N5million per month.

And one of the reasons why a deal failed to be brokered since then was the haggling over the price he wanted to be paid.

While the previous NFF board were said to have been insistent on retaining the N5million price-tag that he was paid, some reports claimed that Keshi wanted N10million, which stalled the deal.

But with the turn of events of late, and also the intervention of government which saw Keshi brought back after he was dismissed in October, a truce seems to have been reached.

Keshi will now earn N7million per month, which will culminate into N84million by the time the contract expires next year.

UN, Pope, Gowon, Tinubu Condemn Kano Killings

Pope Francis III has described the killing of over 120 worshippers in the Kano Central Mosque as an “extremely serious sin against God.”

The Pope, at a meeting with Turkish leaders urged Muslim leaders to condemn the “barbaric violence” being committed by Islamist groups in the name of Allah.

He spoke just as the   Federal Government promised to supply hospitals in Kano with blood, to save the lives of those injured in the attack by terrorists.

The Catholic Pontiff, who maintained that the use of military might against Boko Haram was justifiable, urged greater dialogue between Christians, Muslims and people of other faiths to end religious fundamentalism plaguing the world.

He said, “As religious leaders, we are obliged to denounce all violations against human dignity and human rights.

“As such, any violence which seeks religious justification warrants the strongest condemnation because the omnipotent is the God of life and peace.”

Also on Sunday, the United Nations   pledged its “full support” to Nigeria in its efforts to end terrorism .

The global body, in a statement   by its Secretary-General, Ban ki-moon,     said there was no justification whatsoever for the attack on worshippers on Friday.

“The UN reaffirms its full support for Nigeria’s efforts to fight terrorism and to provide security to the population consistent with international law and Nigeria’s human rights obligations.”

The UN conveyed its “deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and to the people and government of Nigeria” and wished swift recovery to the injured.

The body called on the relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Also, a former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, condemned the attack and   called on Nigerians to support the military in the fight against insurgency in the country.

Gowon made the call on Sunday at the Church of Nigeria’s end of year thanksgiving service held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Abuja.

He said recent happenings in the country indicated that the insurgents were not after Christians alone, stressing that all Nigerians, irrespective of their ethno-religious backgrounds, are potential targets.

Gowon said, ‘‘It is the responsibility of every Nigerian and not only the armed forces to do whatever they need to do in order to restore peace to our country.

‘‘Dealing with the problem of insurgency that is disturbing the country requires the cooperation of all Nigerians, whether you are a Christian or a Muslim.

‘‘Few days ago, you saw what they did not only to the Christian churches but also the Muslim worship places are being targeted for attacks;

‘‘So we need the prayers of all because only God can ultimately deal with this problem more permanently.’’

He expressed confidence that the military would overcome the insurgents and restore peace to the conflict-ravaged North-East.

In his remark, a former Primate of All Nigeria (Anglican Communion), the Most Rev. Peter Akinola, urged Christians to continue with the spirit of loving God and serving Him with their skills, energy and time.

He also frowned on Nigeria’s over dependence on its oil and gas resources, saying   the trend was causing disunity among Nigerians.

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said the attack had shown that Boko Haram was not doing God’s work.

Tinubu lamented in a statement on Sunday that   the sect was doing the bidding of Satan.

He said, “Attacks against numerous locations in the North-East demonstrate how heinous and debased Boko Haram and those who sponsor it have become. So depraved, they have become heartless and filled with enmity against all that is good and proper.

“This was not the act of human beings. These attacks could only have come from the hands of those who do not know God or serve God. This is the act of godless people. The hand of evil, deploying those who have given their selves over to wickedness, committed this terrible thing.

“No reason can be found for what was done except that Boko Haram has once again shown its lust for innocent blood and its disdain for life peacefully lived. Boko Haram killed people praying to God because the god of Boko Haram is Satan himself.”

The former governor said he was confident that Nigeria would overcome terrorism as evil would never overcome good.

He, however, said this was the time for all Nigerians, regardless of religion, to unite to defeat the terrorists.

The APC leader said, “Boko Haram seeks to scare and intimidate Christians and Muslims alike through wanton destruction. They may attack us but never shall this evil force subdue us. Christians and Muslims must stand arm-in-arm to face down this terrorist onslaught.

“Those of us who love peace, who love unity and who love Nigeria can never allow this vile group to achieve its objective – to turn us into a bloodied and divided nation. Nigeria can and will defeat this terrorist machine and those behind it. We have no other home.”

Tinubu commiserated with the people of the state and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi.

Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Health has directed its blood bank in Katsina to supply blood to the hospitals where many of the injured victims of the attack are receiving treatment.

The North-West Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Musa Ilallah, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria   shortly after visiting Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano on Sunday.

He said, ‘’We went round the hospitals to assess the condition of those who are receiving treatment and we understand that what they needed most are blood and consumables.

‘‘I spoke with the Federal Ministry of Health and they (ministry) have assured me that they will mobilise the blood bank in Katsina to supply blood to the hospitals,’’ he said.

The coordinator said the ministry had also promised to supply drugs and other consumables from Abuja.

Ilallah commended Kano State Government for providing all the needed materials for the treatment of the injured persons.

The Executive Secretary of the state Hospitals Management Board, Dr Kabir Maso-Kano, said lack of consumables was hindering the treatment of the victims.

He, however, commended the residents for coming to hospitals to donate blood to the victims.

The Kano State Government commended NEMA for its prompt response and support to the victims of bomb blast .

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran, said,     “We still have many victims on admission in our hospitals, but essentially we need emergency drugs and other consumables, which have since been exhausted.

‘‘We have 48 victims in this hospital. We have some at Nasarawa, Dala Orthopaedic and Aminu Kano Teaching hospitals.

‘‘We are able to contain casualties and most of the dead ones. So the situation is calm now.’’

The commissioner also praised the l public for coming to donate blood since the incident happened.

“We called on members of the public to come and donate blood and we thank God that people have responded positively,’’ Labaran said.

Earlier, the Director, Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Otegbede Charles, who represented the NEMA Director-General, said he was in Kano to assess the situation.

‘‘The director-general mandated me to come and meet with the state government officials on what the agency can do to further alleviate the sufferings of the victims currently on admission,’’ he said.

Anti-Jonathan Impeachment Senators Meets Today

The 63 senators who had signed up to remove President Goodluck Jonathan will meet on Monday (today) evening to perfect their   strategy for making it a reality.

One of the coordinators of the impeachment plan, said the agenda of the meeting would centre on how to handle the case on the floor of the Senate.

But the senator, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, did not disclose the venue of the meeting for security reasons.

He said, “All of us will meet tomorrow (Monday) evening to discuss when we are going to move the motion on the floor of the Senate. We have an appreciable number already and I believe that more people will join when they see the seriousness with which we are going about it.

“Some of our colleagues were saying that we don’t have the will to move it (impeachment motion) on the floor. We will soon execute our plans because it is in the best interest of all Nigerians”

Already, the senator representing Yobe South Senatorial District in the upper chamber, Alkali Jajere, and his colleague from Niger North, Ibrahim Musa, have explained their involvement in the planned impeachment moves.

The two senators, in separate interviews on Sunday, said they signed up for the impeachment because of their conviction that Jonathan had engaged in a series of constitutional breaches.

Jajere alleged that the poor handling of the insurgency in the North-East by the Jonathan administration despite huge sums of money being voted for the military, was deliberate.

He said, “Are we going to wait and continue to tolerate a leader who, cannot stop the daily physical and psychological torture of people in the North-East. The insurgency in the zone is threatening the corporate existence of Nigeria and the earlier we act, the better.’’

Also, Musa alleged that Jonathan government’s “insincerity” in tackling the economic crisis facing   the country was enough grounds to initiate an impeachment move against him.

He said, “The President has been breaching the constitution over the years and we have tolerated it enough. This government has not been implementing the budget and that is why we are having problems with our economy.”

One of the arrowheads of the move to remove Jonathan, on Thursday, showed the list containing the signatures of 63 senators.

The source said eight Peoples Democratic Party senators were among the signatories to the planned impeachment notice. There are 109 lawmakers in the Senate.

An All Progressives Congress senator from the North-West, who asked not to be named, told our correspondent that the lawmakers’ major grouse against the President was the manner he had been handling the economic and political affairs of the country.

The senator cited poor implementation of the national budget since 2011, alleged high level of corruption and “gross disregard”   for the legislature at both the federal and state levels as some of the reasons they were angry with Jonathan.

120 Maggots Removed From Woman’s Nose And Eye After Fly Lays Eggs In Intensive Care

A woman was taken to a hospital in Canada with various problems, but not actually these little critters that were found in her nose and eyelid.

It is believed that the fly that laid the eggs were from inside the hospital where she had been for several days.

A report in a Canadian medical journal states: ‘During the period, an adult fly (a green blow fly or a green bottle fly) was seen in the intensive care unit.

‘The patient was in a windowless private room that had an open door. The intensive care unit had no windows to the outdoors; thus, it was assumed that the fly had entered the intensive care unit from another part of the hospital.’

The image was taken in 2007 but is currently doing the rounds online, disgusting people all over the world.

Doctors removed 120 of the bugs from the woman’s eye and nose.

Thief Who Robbed Pensioner With Knife Is Stripped And Clingfilmed To A Lamppost

A mob dished out some very sweaty justice to an alleged thief who was spotted attempting to rob a pensioner with a knife – he was stripped naked, then wrapped head to foot in clingfilm and tied to a lamppost.

People took photographs as 32-year-old Valentino Abeyta Barrera sweltered in Chilean capital Santiago’s 27-degree heat, with his underpants around his ankles.

He was left for 20 minutes before police arrived – and the alleged thief refused to explain why he was there, begging the police to free him.

The photographs stirred up discussion online about vigilante justice – and Barrera was freed, as his alleged victim did not make a complaint to police

One commenter, Daniela Montoya Pazo said: ‘They just had to arrest him, not beat him. This kind of things put us at the same level as the criminals.’

Another, Daichi Yuka, said: ‘I would like to do the same thing to the thief who threatened me with a weapon this morning.’

After Barrera was released and taken to the police station, police said they had been forced to let him go because the alleged victim of the man’s attack had not made a complaint.

A police spokesman said: ‘Unless the man who was tied to the lamppost or his alleged victim want to file a complaint, there is not much we can do.’

Man Eaten Alive By Snake Called 'Absolutely Disgusting' By Animal Rights Groups

An explorer and wildlife expert who was eaten alive and regurgitated by an anaconda has defended his actions after facing hundreds of claims of animal cruelty.
Paul Rosolie donned a specially-made ‘snake-proof’ suit and covered himself in pig’s blood for his extraordinary stunt, which is due to be aired on the programme ‘Eaten Alive’ next month on the Discovery Channel.
But the wildlife expert has been branded a snake-baiting opportunist by some corners, with more than 40,000 signatories on a Change.org petition demanding the show is never aired and animal rights group PETA calling Rosolie a ‘fool’.
‘This is animal abuse to the highest degree and absolutely disgusting, and could kill the snake – an adult green anaconda cannot fit the width of an adult man’s shoulders into it’s body,’ the petition reads.
‘The show promotions even show the host holding an anaconda by the head as if he’s about to be attacked. That’s perpetuating stereotypes that condition people to fear these animals. Humans are not their natural prey!’
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rosolie defended the stunt, saying that people were cared about animals but not their living space and he wanted to ‘force a dialogue’ on the issue of habitat destruction.
‘Nothing else that I could have done would have gotten more attention than this,’ he said.

Manny Pacquiao To Sell Philippine Mansion After Rich Neighbours Complain

World boxing champion Manny Pacquiao said on Thursday (Nov 27) he would sell his mansion in one of the Philippine capital's swankiest areas after his neighbours complained of his visitors wearing shabby clothing. Pacquiao told AFP that as a "man of the masses", he is not finicky with his visitors, even if they are wearing "just shorts and slippers".

The boxer's rags-to-riches story, from being a fish vendor in his hometown to winning world titles in an unprecedented eight weight divisions, has made him wildly popular in the Philippines. He used his boxing fame to get elected to Congress in 2010 and like many wealthy Filipino politicians, he frequently has to meet with constituents asking for hand-outs and favours.

Pacquiao said he would buy a new house where he could accomodate more visitors, who are mostly seeking financial assistance.

"If there's somebody who is willing to buy, I'm going to sell it," Pacquiao said of the Manila property, which he acquired for 400 million pesos (US$9 million) in 2011. He added that he wants to make a profit from the sale as he had made renovations.

The 35-year-old said he apologised to his neighbours, though some understood why he was accommodating poor visitors. "I may be as rich as some of them here, but my lifestyle remains the same and so is my heart. I am just a simple man. I will never change that," he said.

The three-storey mansion - in a neighbourhood that is home to Manila's old rich - has five bedrooms, several reception and dining halls, and an office. Pacquiao also owns a fleet of luxury cars, and his hometown mansion in southern Philippines has a pool shaped like a boxing glove.

Obasanjo's Administration Took Corruption To A Greater Height - Chief Olu Falae

The presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy during the 1999 elections, Chief Olu Falae, has said former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration from 1999 to 2007 took corruption to an unprecedented level.

Falae, who is the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, said this during an interview with our correspondent at the official presentation of the party’s constitution and manifesto in Lagos on Thursday.

When asked what he felt about Obasanjo’s criticism of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration as regards corruption, Falae said corruption under Obasanjo was worse than all of his predecessors.

Falae, who lost to Obasanjo in the 1999 election, however, said he could not distinguish between corruption under Jonathan and corruption under Obasanjo.

He said, “Corruption must die for Nigeria to live, the two cannot coexist. And it was Obasanjo’s regime that reintroduced corruption in Nigeria. Yes, he motivated the passing of the anti-corruption law; he set up anti-corruption agencies like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission but his regime showed the highest degree of corruption since independence.

“It was during his time that Ghana-must-go bags of money were shared on the floor of the National Assembly during the third term agenda debacle. It was during his time that public officers were accused of stealing billions of naira.

“So, there must have been something in his regime that encouraged corruption on that scale. However, he might now be repentant but it was during his regime that corruption was reintroduced on a mega scale.”

Also speaking at the event, Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, said only the SDP could save Nigeria from collapse.

Adebanjo said the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party lacked ideology, adding that Nigerians would shun them at the polls next year.

Andy Murray Has Proposed To Longtime Girlfriend Kim Sears

Tennis star Andy Murray has proposed to long-term girlfriend Kim Sears, after more than nine years together.

The Wimbledon champion has been in a relationship with Miss Sears since they met at the US Open in 2005, apart from a brief split around five years ago.

Andy’s family – including his mum Judy, who took part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing – are said to be overjoyed by the news.

The 27-year-old sports star proposed on Wednesday with an expensive diamond ring: ‘Andy spent ages thinking about the ring, he chose the design himself and picked it up last week. He then proposed on Wednesday.

‘Kim said “yes” immediately. They are completely besotted with each other and have been there for each other through thick and thin.

‘They are just going to enjoy themselves before they start planning their big day.’

Representatives have confirmed the engagement.

Sussex-born Miss Sears, 26, who has an English Literature degree, paints from their home in Surrey, where she looks after the couple’s beloved dogs Maggie May and Rusty.

It has not always been plain sailing for the couple, who split in 2009, with reports Kim, the daughter of player-turned-coach Nigel Sears, then 21, moved out of the mansion they shared in Surrey and returned home to her parents.

Kims face has became familiar to millions of tennis fans worldwide, especially at Wimbledon, as she cheers on the Scot from the stands.

Dunblane-born Murray has previously admitted he couldn’t have come back to win Wimbledon in 2013 – after his 2012 defeat – if it hadn’t been for her constant support.

In the past Murray has been notoriously reluctant to answer questions about his relationship.

Earlier this year he was forced to deny that he planned to marry her after joking about proposing on Twitter.

Asked when he plans to marry Miss Sears during a Twitter Q&A with fans in January, Murray responded: ‘We’re getting married just after Wimbledon, should be a great day.’

But just hours later, Murray was forced to issue another tweet explaining he was joking around after the original message went viral.

He tweeted: ‘3 things.. I don’t smoke grass, I’m not getting married(yet) and I don’t want to kill rafael Nadal…’

At the time a spokesman for the star confirmed that ‘Andy Murray is not getting married this summer.’

Doctor Suspended After Abandoning Woman In Labour To Have Sex With A Patient.

A doctor who abandoned a pregnant woman in labour so he could have sex with a patient has been suspended.

Dr Christopher Driskill is facing a litany of allegations along with this, including being drunk while at work, falsely prescribing drugs to a sexual partner, and writing lewd notes on medical charts.

Several other women who intended to give birth at his clinic claimed they found him absent as they went into labour, forcing hospital staff to scrape together nurses in emergency situations.

Based in New Mexico in the USA, Dr Driskill, 42, was due to become the president of the New Mexico Medical Society next year, before the state’s medical board was informed of his behaviour.

The board said the wayward doctor, who is also accused of keeping a personal stash of alcohol in his desk at work, posed a ‘clear and immediate danger to the public’.

Having been suspended, the board are now in deliberations as to whether or not Dr Driskill will retain is license following the revelations.

‘Your sexual relationships and abuse of alcohol have negatively affected your practice of medicine,’ the board told him in a notice of his suspension.

The obstetrician and gynaecologist has the ability to challenge the suspension and his ban, if his license is revoked, however so far he has not done so.

75-Year-Old Man Impregnates 13-Year-Old Girl

Like the Yoruba proverb which says that one does not need a complete set of teeth to break a hard bone, once the few ones present in the mouth can do the job, aptly describes Pa Muse Alabi both literally and metaphorically. Most of the teeth of the 75-year-old man are missing. This has made the front and the two sides of the laughter chamber to cave in. But Pa Alabi is still going strong in meat consumption – both animal and human.

He is not a cannibal as some readers must have quickly assumed. He is simply a lady’s man and goes for young or old, single or married. However, he has bitten more than he could chew as he is currently at the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Oyo State Police Command, where the anti-social behaviour unit is investigating a case of defilement of a 13-year-old girl (name withheld) allegedly committed by the old man, and which has resulted in pregnancy.

It was learnt that Pa Alabi was doing carpentry work for a lady under whom the victim was an apprentice. The young girl seized the opportunity to tell Pa Alabi to build a safe for her. After giving her the safe, Pa Alabi wooed the girl and she agreed to his proposal. After the first sexual intercourse they had, it was learnt that the suspect gave the girl N200. When she also demanded for a handset, he gave her N1,500 to buy i-tel phone.

Four days after, they made love again. Both times were in September this year. But the grandmother of the girl was said to have noticed recently that she was showing signs of pregnancy. Though she denied, she secretly went to her lover to inform him. To her surprise, Pa Alabi demanded to know how she could be pregnant since he only had sex with her twice.

The girl decided to keep to herself and would not talk to Pa Alabi whenever he went to her mistress’s shop. This was said to have prompted the man to inform the mistress that her apprentice was pregnant for him, warning against the abortion of his unborn child. Shocked, the mistress informed the girl’s grandmother who, in turn, told the girl’s mother. Eventually, word got to the girl’s elder sister who went to a police station on Saturday, November 15 to lodge a complaint and Pa Alabi was promptly arrested.

A police source informed that the suspect’s neighbours said it was in the old man’s character to go after under-aged girls. The ultrasound scan carried out revealed the expected delivery date of the girl as July 7, 2015 meaning she is two months pregnant. Strangely, the girl was reported to have never menstruated before the pregnancy.

In an interview with Pa Alabi, he admitted having sex with the girl and the paternity of the baby. He also agreed to marry her and take care of her and the baby when born. According to the man who lives at his family house at Oje area, “I am a carpenter and I still work till the present time. I even take roofing jobs. I am very strong.

“I have two daughters and a son. My first wife gave birth to the female children but had to be taken away by her people when she developed mental illness. My second wife is the mother of the boy who is an SSS3 student but she has left for another man. Currently, I have no wife.”

So how does he satisfy his sexual needs when it looks as if he is very active? Crime Reports asked. Pa Alabi replied: “I don’t go looking for any woman. I usually have sex with any of the married women who like me and come to me for sex. This is not always though.”

Speaking on how he came in contact with his victim, the elderly man said: “I used to do carpentry work for her boss who sells tailoring materials. That was where I knew her. One day, she asked me to help her build a safe in which she could be keeping her money. When I finished it, I asked her to come to my shop for the safe late one evening and I gave it to her.

“She used to pass by my shop whenever she was going home and used to stop by to greet me. On a particular day, I expressed my interest in her and she promised to think about it. She later consented and on one of the days she stopped to say hello to me, we had sex when I had an urge. And it was mutual. About five days after the first time, we had sex again and she stopped coming.

“One day, she came to me and told me that her grandmother said she was pregnant. She stopped coming again and I didn’t see her again until policemen came to arrest me.”

When asked whether he knew that his action was in contravention of the law, Pa Muse replied that he didn’t know, describing the outcome of his relationship with the young girl as “an act of God”. He said: “Mistake has no master. I pray that God should forgive me.”

The suspect said he doesn’t use any sex performance enhancement drug before making love to a female. “I don’t take any herbal drink for enhancement of sexual performance. They are alcoholic and I don’t take alcohol as a good Muslim. I observe my five-times-daily prayers faithfully.”

Pa Alabi said he was ready to take responsibility over the pregnant girl and the baby she is expecting. “I can take care of her adequately. I have a nephew who is a medical doctor and he has promised to help too,” he stated.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor however said that the suspect would be charged to court.

Four Female Guards Fell Pregnant To Same Inmate In One American Prison.

Four female prison guards fell pregnant to one inmate in a prison in Baltimore – a gang leader so powerful he said that in the jail, ‘I am the law.’

Tavo White showered the female guards with gifts including cars and diamond rings.

White reportedly made $16,000 (£10,000) a month from smuggling drugs and cellphones into prison with help from his accomplices.

An FBI wire tap captured White saying, ‘This is my jail. You understand that,’ and claiming to control everything from contraband to mob hits within the prison.

Four guards – Jennifer Owens, Katera Stevenson, Chania Brooks and Tiffany Linder – allegedly fell pregnant to White while he was behind bars

Owens had ‘Tavon’ tattooed on her neck and Stevenson had ‘Tavon’ tattooed on her wrist.

The details came to light after authorities busted a major smuggling ring inside the prison – and 13 female prison guards, seven inmates and five co-conspirators face racketeering charges.

Guards allegedly smuggled hard drugs and mobile phones into prison in their shoes for the ‘Black Guerrilla Family’, a gang which also operates on the streets of Baltimore City.

All 12 officers have been suspended without pay, and the department are moving to fire them.

Doctor Films 1,000 Victims On Toilet, Including Nurses, Patients And Children.

A peeping Tom doctor who admitted spying on more than 1,000 people in toilets, will be sentenced to a significant term in prison.

Dr Lam Hoe Yeoh, 62, carried out ‘a planned and long-running campaign of voyeurism, the like of which goes beyond anything encountered by the Metropolitan Police’, a court heard.

He had a complex network of hidden cameras situated in hospital and train toilets, as well as his own home. His victims included nurses, patients and children.

Prosecutor Peter Clement told Croydon crown court: ‘It was voyeurism targeting friends, colleagues, patients, children, male and female.

‘The voyeurism included footage filmed at his home of friends invited for social events. He grossly abused the high degree of trust placed in him as a consultant physician as well as a friend and colleague.’

In all the cases presented the victim’s genitals were filmed and the footage was then stored in labelled files on hard-drives at his home and his NHS computer.

The hearing specialist was caught after two women discovered a camera had been stuck to a toilet in St Anthony’s Hospital in south London.

As well as footage of themselves, they discovered Yeoh had accidentally filmed himself setting it up.

Other filming devices were also found at hospitals in Sutton, Thames Ditton and Nottingham.

Yeoh, of Banstead, Surrey, yesterday admitted seven counts of voyeurism, six of making indecent images of a child and one of possessing extreme pornography between January 2011 and April 2014. He has asked to be struck off the medical register.

His wife Ivy, 57, had one charge of voyeurism dropped.

I Survived Cancer, Says Professor Wole Soyinka

Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Tuesday gave a chilling account of how he contracted prostate cancer last December and got cured of it in October 2014.

Soyinka disclosed this on Tuesday at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, while addressing journalists at a press conference tagged ‘Beyond Ebola and Beyond reign of the Silent Killer,’ which was meant to create awareness on cancer.

Though he neither gave details of where and how he got cured, he described the ailment as a ‘nuisance which must be got rid of.’

The literary icon said having got cured of the disease, he decided to make his health status public so as to encourage cancer victims to go for medical treatment.

Soyinka also noted that cancer should not be regarded as a death sentence.

He said, “In December last year, I discovered that I had cancer, we were making sure that, that was what it was before going for other tests. And once it was established that I did have cancer and I was sure because in my family we had an uncle, at the time he died, we did not have all the sophisticated ways of knowing how he died.

“What killed him was attributed to a lot of things. From the little things I know about cancer, I came to a conclusion that he died of cancer, maybe we have it in our family.”

Soyinka said as a private person he would have been silent on it, but he decided to make it public being a member of the Africa Cancer Centre.

He said, “For me, it is not a decision that I am happy with, but I felt I have an obligation being a member of the Africa Cancer Centre and also having donated during the festival of fund raising for cancer, I felt I owe people an obligation to make it known and also to demystify cancer, many people feel it’s death sentence. Family, friends and colleagues begin to look at you as if you are a ghost, just because you have cancer.”

Encouraging cancer patients, Soyinka said that they should know that cancer affliction should not be seen as a death sentence.

“No, cancer is not a death sentence, it is curable and I have undergone treatment and I am able to tell you that I even   have a medal to show for it,” he said.

Soyinka, who said he was okay, appealed to Nigerians who have his kind of case to go for test within the available facilities in the country.

But he urged the Federal Government to treat the issue of cancer seriously by releasing the fund already budgeted for cancer treatment and construction of research centres in the country.

He said, “The important thing is that we have enough funds to build all the necessary cancer centres including research centres that this nation requires, though some of these centres are capital intensive.”

He added that funding should not be a challenge for the creation of cancer centres because money for it had been budgeted for during the late President Umaru Yar’adua’s administration.

He said, “One of the major reasons why I decided that I would come and make this personal appeal is that I happen to know that certain amount of money had been approved for cancer centre under the late President Umaru Yar’adua and I want to make a personal appeal that this money be released because not all of us can gallivant a round the world where we can stop over and have the necessary treatment.

“At least, we can have diagnostic centres everywhere where elementary treatment can be given to patients.”

He explained that there were many ways of treating cancer just like there were different types of cancer.

Soyinka, however, advised the people to watch what they eat, as according to him, “diet forms an important part of cancer.”

Speaking on his experience while undergoing treatment for cancer, Soyinka said the most difficult part of the process was the diet that was prescribed for him.

He said, “I have to drink a lot of water. The most painful part of it, as many of you know, is that water and I are not very good friends. I don’t enjoy drinking water.”

Asked how he felt when he was battling with prostate cancer, he said, “To tell you the truth, I do not recollect what I felt. What a nuisance, we deal with nuisances! Whatever it takes, just look at the best way of getting rid of this unwanted squatter in our body.”

Boy, 10, Thrown Into River For Witchcraft, Survives.

A 10-year-old boy, Usen Okon, who was thrown into the Imo River in the Ikot Abasi area of Akwa Ibom State, over witchcraft accusation, has survived the ordeal.

A non-government organisation, the Humanist Association for Peace and Social Tolerance Advancement and its partner, Child’s Rights and Rehabilitation Network, said the boy was being taken care of by the groups.

The Senior Project Manager of the organisation, Mr. Ayobami Ojedokun, told our correspondent in Uyo on Tuesday that Okon was under the care of his paternal aunt, identified simply as Ekaeyen, at Etebi community in the Esit Eket Local Government Area of the state as his parents had died.

He said a few days ago, Okon was aroused from sleep by Ekaeyen who took him to her husband and asked him to confess to being a wizard.

He added that when Okon denied the witchcraft accusation, his aunt threatened to throw him into a river.

Ojedokun said Ekaeyen, true to her words, on November 16, took Okon to the Imo River and threw him into the water with the hope that he would drown.

“She actually threw Okon into Imo River thinking that the boy would drown. The boy came out of the water alive and went to their home, only to be told that her auntie had relocated,” Ojedokun said.

President Jonathan To Obasanjo: I'm Nigeria's Best Leader.

President Goodluck Jonathan has described himself as the best leader to be produced by Nigeria.

The President said no leader since the country gained independence in 1960 had done better than himself for the country.

He, therefore, said the comment made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, in which the ex-President described Jonathan’s performance as below average, was untrue.

Jonathan said this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, in Abuja on Sunday.

Okupe’s statement read, “Our attention has been drawn to comments made by a former President of this country, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, regarding the performance of the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

“Obasanjo had at an event over the weekend declared that he rated the President Goodluck Jonathan administration ‘below average’.

“We aver that Obasanjo’s comments are untrue, misleading and clearly do not tally with the facts on the ground.

“We therefore wish to assert without equivocation that in terms of performance and achievements, no administration since 1960 when Nigeria gained independence from Britain, has done as much as that of President Jonathan.”

He said that every discerning and unbiased Nigerian would definitely attest to this “as the evidence stare all of us in the face.”

Okupe, who had also worked with the former President while in office, added that contrary to Obasanjo’s position, the Federal Government under Jonathan had performed excellently given the prevailing circumstances and resources available to it.

He said while it was true that Nigeria had been faced with incidents of insurgency and terrorism, especially in the last few years, the Jonathan administration had successfully contained the initial widespread activities of the insurgents, which he said were prevalent in 12 states of the North, including the Federal Capital Territory.

He added, “While it is true that the present activities of the terrorists in the three north-eastern states have become more deadly in mindless killings, kidnappings and supposed territorial seizures, government has made giant diplomatic strides with our neighbouring countries in order to checkmate the crisscrossing of the insurgents.

“The military and other security agents, which have engaged the insurgents since inception, have done a great job in spite of recent challenges.

“The truth of the matter which we must know and accept is that we have an internal enemy supported by internal and external resources waging a major warfare against our nation.”

Brendan Rodgers ‘To Be Replaced At Liverpool By Borussia Dortmund Coach Jurgen Klopp’

Liverpool are seemingly planning for life after Brendan Rodgers after reportedly lining up Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp as his replacement at the club.

The sensational claim comes just hours after The Reds succumbed to a shock 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, with the loss being Liverpool’s third consecutive defeat and their sixth overall so far this season.

With fans and pundits such as Jamie Carragher beginning to criticise Rodgers, the Liverpool board could hire Klopp to replace their current manager should they decide to let him go.

Klopp – whose Dortmund side currently lie in the Bundesliga relegation zone – has also been linked with a move to Arsenal following recent comments he made about wanting to manage in the Premier League.

Vicar Sacked For Having Sex With Parishoner.

A married vicar has been sacked after having an affair with one of his parishioners.

The Rev Stephen Vincent, 40, had sex with the woman in a courtyard after meeting her in a bar – three days after he was ordained as a priest.

The pair exchanged as many as 80 texts a day, many of them filled with sexual innuendo, over three months.

However, they slept together on only two occasions.

The woman, who he was mentoring, accused him of rape, which he denied, and the case was dropped after a police investigation.

Mr Vincent, who worked at St Giles church in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, told The Sunday Telegraph he had made a ‘huge, stupid mistake’. He said: ‘In one day I lost my home, my job, and in some ways I nearly lost my family as well. It is the thing I regret most in my life.’

Mr Vincent has been banned from working as a priest for eight years following a hearing by a Lichfield diocese disciplinary panel over the affair that took place in 2012.

His family are also facing eviction from their home, which is owned by the Church of England.

However, his wife Erin, 30, with whom he has three young children, is standing by him. She described her husband as an ‘amazing’ person who ‘made some silly decisions’.

A spokesman for the Lichfield diocese said Mr Vincent had ‘betrayed his wife, his family and his church’.

Thai Orphan Turns Down Offer To Being Adopted By Kim Kardashian

A thirteen-year-old girl has turned down being adopted by Kim Kardashian.

Teenager Pink said she was excited at the thought of Kim taking her into her home, but decided she would rather study in Thailand.

After that she wants to help her homeland and other orphans.

In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that aired earlier this year Kim visited a Thai orphanage and became close to young Pink.

After visiting Kim said during the ep: When you meet someone that you really connect to like this, you can’t help but think like how you could change their life. And I think that looking into adoption would be amazing.’

‘I literally cannot stop thinking about her. I told (husband) Kanye, I was like, honestly, this girl is so sweet and so cute, like, I would honestly adopt her.’

However according to Mail Online when Pink was asked privately about Kim wanting to adopt her she was ‘delighted at the offer’ but ultimately said ‘no’.

She said: ‘I spoke to my mum about Kim and she said ‘When you finish High School and you can look after yourself, I will give you permission to go and live with Kim if you want to go.

‘But the other children here and like brothers and sisters to me and I couldn’t leave them behind. They are my family and I couldn’t just go away and leave them.’

Pink added that she would like to see Kim again one day and meet her husband West and daughter North.

Japanese Millionairess 'The Black Widow' Investigated For Murdering 4 Husbands And 3 Boyfriends For £4.3 Million In Payouts

Japanese millionairess denies murdering four husbands and three boyfriends for £4.3 million in payouts

Japanese police have arrested an elderly millionairess on suspicion of poisoning her husband and are investigating the deaths of a further six partners.

Chisako Kakehi, 67, was arrested in Kyoto on Wednesday in an investigation that has hit the headlines here as a "black widow" case.

Kaheki, who has reportedly amassed more than 800 million yen (£4.3 million) in life insurance payouts and inheritances from her late partners, has denied the charges.

"I did not kill anyone," police quoted Kakehi as telling them, according to TV Asahi. "I don't even know how to kill someone. And I don't know where the cyanide came from. I wish someone would tell me."

Police launched their investigation after the death of Isao Kakehi, 75, at the end of last year. Mr Kakehi collapsed at the couple's home, in Muko City, just one month after their marriage and died in a local hospital.

An autopsy conducted by the hospital discovered highly toxic cyanide compounds in his system.

Three months earlier, Kakehi's then-boyfriend was taken ill after they ate at a restaurant, Jiji Press reported.

In March 2012, her 71-year-old fiancee died after falling off his motorbike in Osaka. The cause of death at the time was given as a heart attack, although blood taken during the autopsy was stored by police.

As the case against Kakehi proceeded, analysis of that blood sample also revealed the presence of cyanide compounds.

Kakehi's first husband died in 1994, at the age of 54, while her second husband, whom she met through a dating agency, had a stroke in 2006 and died at the age of 69. A third marriage ended with her husband's death in 2008.

One year later, a boyfriend died from what was ascribed to cancer.

If she is convicted of murdering her partners, Kakehi is likely to be sentenced to death.

In April 2012, another black widow killer, 39-year-old Kanae Kijima, was given the death penalty for the murders of three men she met through Internet dating sites. Kijima was found guilty of drugging the men with sleeping tablets and then burning charcoal briquettes to poison them with carbon monoxide.

Kijima is awaiting the outcome of her appeal to the Supreme Court.

Window Washer Falls From 11-Storey Building Onto A Moving Car In San Fransisco

A worker fell screaming 11 stories from the roof of a bank building Friday morning onto a moving car, crushing its roof and sending shattered glass flying into the street, police and witnesses said.

The man suffered critical injuries, but he was conscious, police said.

The car's driver, Mohammad Alcozai, was not injured. He told KGO_TV that he's happy to be alive especially after his car's roof almost completely collapsed in the accident. He said he is praying that the worker survives.

"I'm very happy that I wasn't hurt," Alcozai told the news channel shortly after the accident. "Hopefully he can make it. I pray for him that he can make it."

Alcozai said he saw something hit his car shortly after making a left turn.

Witnesses described seeing a blue streak and the man's shadow as he fell and then hearing shattering glass as he hit the car and then rolled onto the ground. The roof of the car, a green Toyota Camry, was smashed in, and the rear windshield shattered.

Bianca Bahman, who was on the corner where the man fell, said she looked up to see his shadow and ran for cover.

"As he was coming down, he was definitely screaming," Bahman, 31, a pre-medical student at San Francisco State University who was on her way to the gym, said. "It all happened so quickly. It was so instantaneous."

The man, identified by police only as window washer, was moving equipment on the roof of a bank building in the heart of San Francisco's financial district and not on a window-washing platform when he fell, San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman said. The platform was on the ground at the side of the building, and cables were hanging from its sides. It was not clear whether the man was setting the platform up, but he was working with a partner, police said.

Sam Hartwell, 56, of San Rafael, said he was walking to the building the man fell from for a meeting when he saw something blue falling.

"I heard the loud thud and the shattering of the back of the car," he said. "At that point, I realized it was a body."

He and about 20 other people ran to the man, who was on his back. The man was lucid, though he was bleeding.

"He understood we were with him," Hartwell said.

The bystanders, who included a nurse, put clothing on the man as they waited for the ambulance.

Hartwell said of his reaction, "It was utter, immediate shock. How do you react to something like that?"

Dozens of people gathered around police tape after the accident, as officials cleaned up blood, glass and a shoe that were lying in the intersection. The driver of the Camry did not want to comment, Newman said.

The man worked for Concord, California-based Century Window Cleaning, said Peter Melton, a spokesman for the California state division of occupational safety and health.

The company was cited for one serious violation and three other violations in 2008, one of them related to instructing window-cleaning employees in the proper use of all equipment provided to them, and supervising the use of the equipment and safety devices to insure that safe working practices are observed, according to federal records. The company was fined more than $6,500, though the fine was eventually reduced to a little more than $2,700.

A call to the company was not immediately returned.

Thousands Of Worshippers Flock To Small Village After ‘GOD’ Baby Is Born With Eight Limbs

A little boy who was born with eight limbs has been hailed as an Indian God – sparking crowds of people rallying to see him.

The village in West Bengal has become overrun with thousands of worshippers flocking to see the child, who has four arms and four legs, at the hospital.

His condition is believed to be caused by the baby’s twin being joined to him in the womb.

Many were crying and praying – suggested he was the Hindu God Brahma – while some believed it was a sign of the end of the world.

A relative of the ‘God Baby’ told a television station in Baruipur, east India: ‘When he first came out we couldn’t believe it. The nurses said he was badly deformed but I could see that this was a sign from God.

‘In fact, this is a miracle, its God’s baby. Indian God’s have extra limbs just like this.’

A police spokesman said they were having difficulty controlling the crowds in the village.

The spokesman said: ‘This is a freak baby and it is tragic, there is nothing Godly about him at all. But the crowds are going berserk and clamouring to see the child.

‘Hundreds are crying in the streets, hundreds of others are praying and setting up camp here. Some are even panicking and believe this is a sign of the end of the world.

‘I have never seen anything like this in my whole career.’

Headmaster Caught ‘Giving Oral Sex To Maths Teacher’ During School

A headmaster who appeared to be caught giving oral sex to a female maths teacher during school threatened students with legal action after a video of the clip went viral.

Drago Kamenik, 41, was apparently found by students between the legs of 45-year-old brunette Manja Mertelj after they heard moans of pleasure coming from a classroom they believed to be empty.

And the embarrassed headteacher first threatened to sue students who uploaded a clip of the pair onto social media and then denied it was real after the clip went viral.

‘We heard the noises and knew someone was having sex in there,’ said one 19-year-old student at the high school in Maribor, Slovenia.

‘But we thought it would be other students. We couldn’t believe it when we saw our maths teacher and headmaster.’

Married father-of-two Mr Kamenik still claims the video is fake, and says he has reported the clip to police, according to Slovenske Novice.

‘The man in the video is not me, it has been photoshopped,’ he said.

‘I also spoke to my wife. Can these fools even begin to imagine what damage they have caused by doing this?!

‘As for the maths teacher, she is a very good teacher and has had many positive things said about her.’

Students dismissed his threats, however, adding that they are willing to put up the rest of the footage – which they say shows clearly who is involved – if necessary.

‘We can put up more to prove it but I don’t think anyone really doubts us,’ said one student on social media.

Arsenal Chase Bayern Munich Manager Pep Guardiola ‘As Patience Runs Out With Arsene Wenger’

The Arsenal board have ramped up their interest in Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola with patience said to running out with Arsene Wenger.

Guardiola, who has made no secret of his interest in managing in England, has emerged as the Gunners’ top choice to replace struggling Frenchman Wenger, with owner Stan Kroenke believed to be driving the move.

According to the Daily Star, patience with Wenger is running out among high-ranking Arsenal officials – including Kroenke – and attention has turned to whether they could bring in Guardiola.

The 43-year-old seems unlikely to want to depart Bayern anytime soon, but rumours are rife in Germany that there’s a culture clash among him and his players, which could open the door to a move.

Arsenal are said to be considering Everton’s Roberto Martinez as a possible alternative, if they sack Wenger and can’t bring in Guardiola.

Arsenal Ready To Hurry Through £19m Lars Bender Transfer Deal As Barcelona Join Hunt

Arsenal are trying to push through a £19million deal for Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender – after Barcelona joined the race.

The Gunners have been chasing Bender since last summer and have turned their attention to signing him this week, with a move for Sami Khedira looking unlikely.

And now reports say Arsene Wenger is trying to hurry through a £19million deal for Bender, after being told that Barca are ready to make a bid.

Arsenal want the tough-tackling defensive midfielder signed up as soon as possible and are hopeful of getting a deal done before Barca can open talks.

Wyclef Jean Shocked By Nigeria's Exit From Africa Cup Of Nations

The shock over Nigeria’s non-qualification for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup is of international dimension as international music icon, Wyclef Jean, has expressed disbelief at the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Equatorial Guinea. The Haiti-born singer expressed his feelings via his Twitter handle just as many other Nigerians have continued to express.

The Eagles lost the ticket to Congo after struggling to a 2-2 draw against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo on Wednesday. Wyclef who tweeted after the match said he was stunned that the once revered African champions could not sail through despite being a good zone.

Wyclef who sang the big hit ‘Dialo Dialo’ wrote, “Shocker I am stunned unbelievable the #NGA #SuperEagles are out of #CFA finals in the hand of #RSA #AfricaUnited #Clefication #DivineSorrow.”

The Haitian who also did collaboration with late Witney Houston ‘If Tomorrow were Judgment Day’ is surely a big fan of African football as he had kept pace with the qualifiers all along. When Equatorial Guinea became the new hosts of the event, he posted, “Equatorial Guinea confirmed as Morocco’s replacement to host @BBCFarayi @NacimCity #AFCON2015 #AfricaUnited.”

And on Wednesday before the game in Akwa Ibom State kicked off, the ‘Gone Till November’ crooner wrote, “Last day for #CAF qualifications, will the defending champions #NGA survive? #AfricaUnited #Clefication #DivineSorrow.”

The award-winning musician is not the only star from that zone that loves football. Sprinter Usain Bolt is a fan of Manchester United and believes he could play for the team some day.

Wife Stabs Hubby To Death Over Money

What started as a mild argument over money turned tragic between a couple in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State after the wife stabbed her husband to death.

The incident happened on Wednesday, last week, on TK Balogun Street, Igbo Olomu, Ishawo.

It was gathered that the woman, Folashade Sodiya, 27, killed her husband, Jude Igbinedor, 39, around 2am after heated argument over money.

They were said to have been in a seven-year relationship, though the union had not been consented to by the parents.

They reportedly got married without approval of their parents and started living together two years ago.

It was gathered that the suspect, an indigene of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, had a one-year-old baby for the deceased, who was an Edo State indigene.

A neighbour, Busola Adewunmi, explained that the couple had only recently relocated to the area.

She added that the couple had barely spent five days in their single room apartment when tragedy struck.

Adewunmi described them as gentle and respectful tenants, who complied with the rules of the house, adding that Folashade was, however, temperamental while her husband smoked.

She said, “They packed into this house penultimate Saturday morning, around 5am, and the incident happened on Wednesday morning.

“On Tuesday, the wife had asked someone to lend her N1,000 pending when her husband would come back from his mother’s place where he had gone to.

“The man arrived and even bought vegetables and other food stuffs for his family. In the evening, he came out and also washed the pots they used to cook that day.

“It was around 2am that things went sore. I learnt she said he was the first to use a hanger to hit her before she also stabbed him in the chest.”

It was learnt that after Jude was stabbed, Folashade called for help. However, Igbinedor gave up shortly after.

The neighbours were said to have alerted policemen from the Owutu Police Division.

Another resident, said when the police arrived at the scene, they met the suspect on the floor with her baby in her hands.

The resident, who declined identification, said, “She had become remorseful by then. When the police picked the wrong knife as exhibit, she told them she used a stainless knife in killing her husband, which she also fetched for them. It was said that she wanted to take part of the money the husband brought from her mother to offset the money she borrowed, but he declined.

“She never denied killing him. But she said he was the first to attack her and she only wanted to scare him with the knife.”

It was also gathered that the deceased’s corpse had been taken to the mortuary, while the suspect was detained at the Owutu Police Station.

A police source said that the suspect and the deceased had been having silent quarrels before the incident.

The source said, “No one can tell what exactly caused this one. The woman, however, said her grouse with Jude was that he always gave her the impression he did her a favour by letting her have his child.

“She said she was holding the knife that night to scare him and did not know when he rushed at her and the knife entered his chest.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, however, confirmed the incident.

He said, “At about 1.15am on November 13, one Jude Igbinedor was stabbed on the chest by his wife, Folashade Shodiya. The victim died on the spot, while his corpse has been taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”

He added that the case had been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

Man Seen On CCTV Footage Buying Alcohol Hours After Killing Mum With Sledgehammer

This is the moment a callous son went to buy alcohol just hours after battering his elderly mother to death with a sledgehammer.

Paul Fox, 54, bludgeoned 83-year-old Yvonne Fox in the kitchen of their shared home because he could not live with the shame of getting a drink driving ban.

After the fatal attack in Alsagar, near Crewe, Fox went to a nearby mini mart to stock up on his favourite Zeppelin white cider.

He took a three litre bottle home with him before drinking it in his bedroom and slashing his wrists.

The following day Mrs Fox’s body was found by a neighbour and family friend who had become concerned after failing to get hold of her.

When officers entered the home on June 3, they discovered a note saying, ‘better off without me.’

Fox was found in his upstairs bedroom at the property surrounded by empty bottles of cider and was said to be in need of medical assistance.

Chester Crown Court heard a post mortem examination revealed Mrs Fox had suffered multiple injuries – consisting of numerous stab wounds to the body and also a number of wounds to her head – believed to have been caused by a sledgehammer.

He was jailed for life with a recommendation he serve 16 years and nine months after he pleaded guilty to the murder of Yvonne Fox on June 2.

Man Decapitated By Lorry In Front Of Bystanders After Leaning Out Into The Road

A pedestrian has been decapitated after being hit by a lorry in a freak road accident.

The unidentified man was reportedly leaning out into a busy road in Stockport yesterday afternoon when he was hit by the lorry, separating his head from his body.

Several other pedestrians and workers from nearby offices witnessed the horrific collision.

Aaron Richards, who works nearby, was having a cigarette when he saw the accident.

That image will stay with us,’ he said.

‘I don’t know who he is but my thoughts go out to his family when they find out.

How terrible for them.’ Mr Richards also told of how some of his colleagues were so traumatised they had to leave work early.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, however some witnesses claimed the emergency services did not do enough to protect bystanders from the gruesome sight.

An 18-year-old witness said: ‘I think the area should have been better cordoned off more quickly.

We saw more than we wanted to.’

A police spokesperson said the area was cordoned off as quickly as possible, however admitted that many bystanders would have witnessed the accident.

Cultists Brutalise Barber For Dating Member’s Wife

Some suspected cultists invaded Olawale Street, Ire Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos, assaulting a barber, Nnakaeye Eze, for dating the wife of one Darlington ─ one of their members.

It was learnt that the cultists, who were about 11, came with weapons such as axes and knives. It was gathered that the assailants, said to be members of the Aiye Confraternity, came around 10.30pm.

The victim, Eze, who still had bloodstained eyes, said the suspected cultists could have killed him if he had not escaped.

He said, “The cultists stormed into my shop at about 10.30pm, and started hitting me with their weapons. The man, Darlington, accused me of dating his wife. I am also married with one child. They did not only injured me, they also vandalised my shop, stealing my wallet which contained N21,000.”

The 35-year-old, who said he managed to escape from the scene, added that he reported the matter at the Ago-Okota Police Division the following morning.

Eze, who showed some scars on his legs and back from the attack, added that it was the police who took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, however, said the matter was not reported to the Ago-Okota Division, adding that the complainant should see the divisional police officer and explain himself.
