PRESIDENT TRUMP'S TELEPROMPTER READING OVER LAS VEGAS MASSACRE SHOCKS THE WORLD...

The morning after a shooter opened fire at a concert in Las Vegas, killing at least 50 and wounding hundreds more, President Donald Trump began to read from a teleprompter.

The president praised law enforcement, saying that "in moments of tragedy and horror, America comes together as one."

It was all pretty cookie-cutter, especially considering how the nation and the world has learned to hold its breath at such moments. After all, Trump has proven to be a man capable of saying jaw-dropping things at any moment, behind a podium or not.

Trump's first comments heavy on prayer, mourning & unity. A better indication of where we go from here will be when he next goes off script

Some were heartened by the speech, while others have long stopped caring about whether the president can read the words someone else has written.

Trump said he would visit Las Vegas on Wednesday.
